From Humble Beginnings to NFL Stardom

Born John Sherman Smith-Schuster on November 22, 1996, JuJu Smith-Schuster is an American football wide receiver who has made a name for himself in the National Football League (NFL). Hailing from Long Beach, California, Smith-Schuster's passion for football began at a young age, and he quickly rose through the ranks as a standout player in both high school and college.

College Career at USC:

Smith-Schuster's collegiate career took off at the University of Southern California (USC). As a true freshman, he made an immediate impact, starting all 13 games and setting numerous school records. In his sophomore year, he continued to shine, becoming USC's all-time leading receiver in receptions and receiving yards. Smith-Schuster's impressive performance earned him recognition as a consensus All-American and the Biletnikoff Award winner in 2016.

NFL Career:

Highly regarded as a top prospect, Smith-Schuster was selected 62nd overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2017 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a key contributor to the Steelers' offense, and in his rookie season, he led all NFL rookies in receiving yards. Smith-Schuster continued to impress in subsequent seasons, developing into one of the league's most reliable and productive wide receivers. During his time in Pittsburgh, he played alongside star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and helped the team reach the AFC Championship Game in both 2017 and 2019.
