Another nine US stocks are now listed in Polish zloty PLN on the Warsaw Stock Exchange's GlobalConnect foreign stock market. The new listings bring the total number of US stocks available to trade on the Warsaw bourse to 26.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) is the largest stock exchange in Central and Eastern Europe. It is also one of the most liquid markets in the region.

The WSE has been expanding its range of products and services in recent years. The launch of the GlobalConnect market in 2018 was a major step in this expansion.

The GlobalConnect market allows investors to trade foreign stocks without the need to convert their funds into foreign currency.

This makes it easier and cheaper for Polish investors to invest in international stocks.

The new listings on the GlobalConnect market are:

  • Amazon.com Inc.
  • Apple Inc.
  • Microsoft Corp.
  • Alphabet Inc.
  • Tesla Inc.
  • Meta Platforms Inc.
  • NVIDIA Corp.
  • Qualcomm Inc.
  • Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

The addition of these major US tech stocks to the WSE’s GlobalConnect platform is a significant development.

It gives Polish investors the opportunity to diversify their portfolios with some of the world's most well-known and successful companies.

The WSE has seen record trading volumes in 2023. In the first half of the year, the value of shares traded on the exchange increased by 20% year-on-year.

The launch of the GlobalConnect Market is expected to further boost trading volumes on the WSE.
