Lakers Announce California Classic Summer League Roster

Los Angeles Lakers to Participate in California Classic in San Francisco

Three Games Scheduled, Broadcasts to be Announced

The Los Angeles Lakers have announced their roster for the upcoming California Classic Summer League in San Francisco, held July 6-10. The Lakers will play three games during the tournament, with broadcast information to be announced at a later date.

The Lakers' summer league roster includes several promising young players, including recent first-round draft pick Max Christie. Christie is a 6'6" shooting guard who averaged 9.3 points per game in his lone season at Michigan State.

Other notable players on the Lakers' summer league roster include Scotty Pippen Jr., the son of Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, and Shareef O'Neal, the son of Shaquille O'Neal. Pippen Jr. is a 6'3" point guard who averaged 20.4 points per game last season at Vanderbilt, while O'Neal is a 6'10" center who averaged 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for LSU last season.

The Lakers will be looking to build on a disappointing 33-49 season in which they missed the playoffs. The team has made several changes this offseason, including hiring Darvin Ham as head coach and trading Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz. The Lakers are hoping that their young players can develop and contribute to the team's success in the upcoming season.
