At least four people are dead, including an infant, after a tornado outbreak in Oklahoma overnight. Severe storms continue to threaten the region.
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Sulphur, Oklahoma, at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The tornado was rated EF-4, with winds of up to 170 miles per hour. It caused widespread damage, destroying homes and businesses.
In addition to the four confirmed fatalities, several people were injured. The injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The tornado outbreak is part of a larger storm system that has been moving across the central United States. The storms have brought heavy rain, hail, and wind to the region.
