Brighton Confirm Roberto De Zerbi Departure
Italian to Leave After One Season
Brighton Hove Albion has announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club after Sunday's final Premier League match of the season.
De Zerbi, who joined Brighton a year ago, has had a successful first season at the helm. The Italian guided the Seagulls to the last 16 of the Europa League, where they were narrowly eliminated by AC Milan. In the Premier League, Brighton currently sit 10th in the table with one game remaining.
Brighton's chief executive Paul Barber paid tribute to De Zerbi's work at the club, saying: "Roberto has made a significant contribution to Brighton Hove Albion during his time here. He has helped us to develop a strong identity and playing style, and he has brought through some exciting young players."
De Zerbi is expected to be in high demand following his departure from Brighton. The Italian has been linked with a number of top clubs, including Juventus and Inter Milan.
